Asian Infrastructure is the leading source of market intelligence on the development of Asia’s infrastructure. Launched in 1995 by the Financial Times, Asian Infrastructure is now a part of the Asia Intelligence (AsiaInt) division of Intelligence Research Ltd.

Asian Infrastructure covers seven areas of infrastructural development throughout Asia, providing market intelligence and analysis on all projects that are large enough to be of interest to foreign companies. Each project is covered from conception, through the tendering process to financial close, project construction, and operation. Asian Infrastructure covers:

* Airports
* Sea ports
* Roads
* Mass-transit systems
* Railways
* Urban development
* Water supply & sanitation

Asian Infrastructure tracks changing government policies and priorities, and it assesses the financial strengths, political connections, and operational capabilities of rival contractors. Government budgets, investment regulations for foreign companies, rules governing the stock exchange listing of project companies, and the policies and laws affecting the relevant areas of infrastructure are also covered.

Asian Infrastructure provides early warning of any developing problems in areas such as finance and other crucial resources such as labour. Each issue contains updates on all major projects organized in easy-to-access geographical sections. In addition to regular detailed reports on major developments, other regular sections include:

* News in brief. This section provides 5-10 pages of succinct briefs keeping you up-to-date on government plans, contracts awarded, and company news.

* ADB/World Bank projects. We provide a digest of projects under review by the ADB and World Bank. Each entry gives an overview of the project and includes details of the Bank contact, the executing agency, the likely civil works and consultancy contracts, and the current stage of the loan negotiations.

* Company profiles. We cover both local conglomerates and multinationals, providing an independent look at business performance, prospects, and each company’s aspirations for the region.

* Tenders. Asian Infrastructure gives full details of contracts and sub-contracts as they come up for tender, with deadlines and contact details.

* Forthcoming events. We provide details of upcoming conferences and events that will enable you to keep abreast of all the latest developments.

Asian Infrastructure has been edited by Louise Alsop since its launch in 1995.
